From your Template Creation Tutorial: SETTING UP LINKS TO TEMPLATES The RealTimeDesigner is set up so that you can set links from your existing website to direct users into the system with the Product, Size and Template predetermined. This is useful if you want to preset options for the user. For instance, if you service a national account, you may wish to build a page on your site highlightby cos - General Discussion
Totally agreed. Not worth the extra trouble for this at this time. The user experience is more important. Thanks, looking forward to the future.by cos - Announcements from the RealTimeDesigner Team
The problem with iframes and RTD is the dialog window that the designer produces when changing an option. The design area is fine, but anytime you have a dialog window pop up, for instance - the clipart dialog, the dialog box can get hidden around behind the borders of the iframe. One very troublesome dialog is when changing the product from within the frame. The whole catalog is really wide andby cos - Announcements from the RealTimeDesigner Team
Seems I remember at some point that I could control the size of the design area. That is, the actual product design space. I seem to remember the default being around 600 pixels. Has that been removed? Where is it? Or, am I just imagining things? I would like the ability to control the size of the design area. You guys have really been making good progress with the whole scene here.by cos - General Discussion
For some programming trickery that I want to perform, I would like to know how consistent the URL assignments might be given to future designs. For instance, each time a new design template is created I've noticed the URL link is essentially the same, just the number at the end has changed: designer.realtimedesigner.com/mygenerator/index.php&cpi=1957&cti=143 Is it safe to say that aby cos - General Discussion
Is it possible to add a field to the customer order submittal to allow customer to type a message that will get passed along with the order? For example, customer may have special requests or instructions to go along with their design. Or customer may be only submitting for quote and wants to ask a question. Currently we're having customers going to email or phone for these questions. Woby cos - General Discussion
I've done some basic testing and Safari 3.1 on the Mac works great. The browser is blazing faster than before also. I will have to test the Windows version to see if it works. Good news. A lot of graphics people use Macs.by cos - General Discussion
Hey, Thank you. I really appreciate that. After reading your 1st response I suspected the help text might be the cause and woke up this morning to do some tests. You beat me to the punch! The more I use the system, the more I learn and appreciate what you have accomplished.by cos - Announcements from the RealTimeDesigner Team

I'm wondering if #3 above is causing this issue: The area where the commands are now has a horizontal scroll bar. I do not like this. The only way to get rid of it is make the window wide. I don't remember this being there before. I don't like it. Very confusing to the user. scroll barby cos - Announcements from the RealTimeDesigner Team
I see you got the sales tax set up also. Thank you. That helps greatly also.by cos - General Discussion
Just noticed the updates and they are perfect. Good job! Thank you.by cos - General Discussion
Just cruising at the rtd website and checking out the demo section. That is INCREDIBLY different than my generator. Looks really nice. Is this the future? You've also updated pricing. Great news. Thanks.by cos - General Discussion
Is there a way to change the style and/or the text on the "Complete Order" screen? Until we get the process moving to our own cart service, it would be helpful to be able to change this screen. The major problem is that many customers opt out of the payment process because it reads "Pay using Paypal". Customers think they need a Paypal account. I had a similar issue today. I assisted a customer while they were in my business to upload their artwork. It was a .png file with no background color (clear). The bottom half of the graphic did not appear. It's like half was cut off. I quickly opened the customers file and saved as a jpg and uploaded that. The graphic appeared as it should. Seems something isn't quite working right here. Will foby cos - General Discussion

So, the question is: (sorry for the non-attorney language) As regards clipart I am currently using in my company: I believe the license covers pretty much any use I want as long as I am the one producing the products. It would not cover me then distributing out that clip-art to other companies to produce products. If I store the clip art within RTD for exclusive use by my company to produce prby cos - Announcements from the RealTimeDesigner Team

How about maybe doing screencast training instead of live web seminars? The type where you talk while a program records your screen movements. That would make it always available to new users. I've used these quite a bit with other products. The ones that are edited to be "short and to the point" are the best. Over time you would have to update the video because of changes in the RTD.by cos - Announcements from the RealTimeDesigner Team

Now we're talking. I would be there anytime day or night on all topics. In order of preference: a and d. The pricing module is easier to understand. Do you mean the direct linking to products in "c'? Okay. So I'm the first poster and the first to reply to my own post. I figured the problem out. I spent a long time earlier on it, but guess too tired. This is great. As the community grows will be very helpful. Mark, after viewing magneticsigns.com I have a much clearer picture of how things should be done. I wish I saw that before starting my setup. I'm just in the set-up stage, so everything is new. I'm spending lot of time just getting familiar with it. So far, so good.
