You're 100% correct. Now email check is there, and it will check for email to be at least somehing like x@y.z Thank you for alertingby Alex - General Discussion
As stated here, i would need some more info to spare some time. However, i can try to guess what you are referring to in your example. I assume the product you're talking about in your example is "PLASTIC YARD SIGNS (Printed 1 Side)" Looking in your pricing setup for that product, i found the $12.45 value only at this location: - matrix "7.0000 & Up" - column "Fby Alex - General Discussion
Quick and dirty way can simply be to add, in the CSS, the property "display:none" for the "catalog_menulinks" entryby Alex - General Discussion
Question: in your company are you using normal PayPal, or PayPal PRO?by Alex - General Discussion
As i menioned, now i do not have all the time needed for a deeper finetuning. However, i tried to add some basic things to help out a bit. Now, after a user signs in, he will no more see an empty screen, but the "Edit Profile" section which i now load as default after login. At least, they should no more see blank pages. Also, but please confirm on your browser system too, all theby Alex - General Discussion
Going... slowly. Having hard days here. But it's all in the todo list, i hope to look at this again off current weekby Alex - General Discussion
This would be interesting to be discussed, but there's a reason for this behavior. For example, suppose a customer wants to create the shirts for his soccer team: you would have around 22 almost identical designs. In such case, it would be more than senseful to reimport the previous design, change only the name, and save it as new item in cart instead of overriding the previous one. Ups, sorry. silly error. Now fixed, you should be able to delete borders without other problemsby Alex - General Discussion
uhm... good and bad news here. As RTD is now, "Add To Cart As Shown" is strictly linked with designer or catalog. The main target of RTD was initially the designer itself, so we added this "as shown" module just to give basic abilities to add products not needed to be designed. But, for the very same reason, that's actually a sort of extent: that module build in bacgkrounby Alex - General Discussion
The answer is YES! In PRODUCT OPTIONS => Configure Products => Configure Colors You will see the "MAX COLORS ALLOWED" option there: just set it to 1. If this will be done, users entering in designer for that product will be told product can only use a limited number of colors, and will be asked to those colors. From that moment, only the choosen color(s) will be availableby Alex - General Discussion
Sure there is. You can find it in SYSTEM OPTIONS => Company Setup You need to change the 4th field, "Redirect to this page after order submittal (WITH http:// !!!)". Just place a thanks page on your domain and fill that field with its URLby Alex - General Discussion
#1 I think this is probably because the menu bar of RTD uses javascript to show/hide menu groups. But i can't be sure, as i do not have a Blackberry. Would you mind offering me one so that i can test? Ouf of jokes, i am not able to reply you about this as i do now know anything about the kind of broswer the Blackberry uses. One side question: you would like to have a new button leading to clipart selection with industry logos preselected, or your goal is to give more visibility to those industry logos thenselves? The new button on top bar is unfortunately not possible: moreover, it would let you have two buttons doing the same thing (adding cliparts) which may be confusing for your user. But if you would be okby Alex - General Discussion
Sorry, but as of now that text can be changed only from the user revise page itself. We hardcoded it as default because it is only meant to be a general reply, that you can modify directly there before sending, if needed.by Alex - General Discussion
Oh ok. Anyhow, the explenation i gave is valid also in this case, just read it in reverse order. If i receive a phone number from paypal, i cannot know which field to save phone number to for the very same reasons. It would be naturally interesting to be able to import into RTD everything PayPal may have to give, but really possible non-required paypal fields are too many. About that numbby Alex - General Discussion
For Credit Card orders RTD supply only what is required, and essential datas. Unfortunately, phone number is not a required one of PayPal, infact it is not in the "Not editable" list of Online Payment Requested Fields. Even if it would be possible to pass it to PayPal as an optional value, the problem on my side is that i have no way to "guess" which of your fields is theby Alex - General Discussion
I'm back. So, it seems i was able to do it, at least for Credit Card payments. First, i added the customer email into the description In your actual paypal, you have generally a line like this: Description: order #0000026767 - , From now over, it should look this way: Description: order #0000026767 - , - Customer email , Next,by Alex - General Discussion
One note about general templates vs product templates: General templates are meant to be potentially usable with every product. This means that a good general template should use only options that are available in ALL your products. For example, general templates are not good at all for products using more than one side, or for products using effects not used in any other product. The meanby Alex - General Discussion
RTD users! You beloved developer is calling you! As you all saw, during the last week we all wrote so much here in the forums. That's really good to me, as it means there is a good and strong cooperation between me and you, as the final users. This is something more than important, because it would be impossible for me and Mark alone to find all the potential issues of RTD, or think at allby Alex - General Discussion
This sounds a bit more complicated than i thought, but i see it's surely to be solved. I do have a paypal sandbox account, and will start to do some deeper tests very soon. Hopefully i'll write back with good news within early days of next weekby Alex - General Discussion
Yeah, i agree. For this reason i would need to know about my question #2, as a first step.by Alex - General Discussion
You have to link. Generally, it's an HTML page you will load into your site. Then you would show that into catalog with the method described above.by Alex - General Discussion
Uhm... I did nothing new, so it must me something on PayPal's side. I would ask some details about the simple receipts payments you received: 1) which kind of payments are they? paypal, creditcard or mixed? 2) important missed detials such as buyers Name, email and phone are visible to you at least into paypal itself? IE, are they lost only in the received paypal email, or also into paypalby Alex - General Discussion

Nah, this time it was really a security issue. I now would just like to know from thesigndepot if the solution i applied works in his iframe model. Now about the other issues Cos mentioned. Yes, cart calc can be slow, it depends on the options. But you are right, there was a visual problem i fixed. Now the java graphic will be visible till the end. It's because of the CSS. Each block can be styled, and in the CSS you will find these definitions: #catalog_menulinks_container_top1 #catalog_menulinks_container_body1 #catalog_menulinks_container_bottom1 #catalog_menulinks_container_top2 #catalog_menulinks_container_body2 #catalog_menulinks_container_bottom2 #catalog_menulinks_container_top3 #catalog_menulinks_container_body3 #by Alex - General Discussion
The area to add links, as you probably already know, is RTD-CATALOG SETUP => MENU LINKS To have an external page like FAQ and similar, you need to play also with another option of RTD-CATALOG SETUP: the "OWN PAGES IN CATALOG (LINK BUILDER)" It will return a direct link to load catalog with an external custom url embedded in it Can also be used to populate menu links. It seems you already found it, as i see you now have white bgcolor. Anyhow, for anyone else, the definition to look at in the CSS for that is ".catalog_product {" If you are using FireFox, there's also one quick and nice method to find out the name of items so that you can tweak your CSS very precisely. Duh, got it. The issue is given by your RTD running into an iframe. The order popup, when it calls for paypal (which in your case is the only avail option), tries to close the popup and load paypal into the "opener", which in your case is the iframe itself. Unfortunately, security rules of some browsers sometimes disallow this behavior, considering it a crossdomain attack try. So,by Alex - General Discussion
Hehe... ok, we do have a small issue to solve. The reason you see this issue is simple: into cart, if shipping cost is <= zero, it is not shown. We did this because a zero value generally means that shipping method is unavailable for the choosen destination zip. I could easily show all values by removing the <= zero, and this would let your customer pickup option appear. But, on the oby Alex - General Discussion
