Now that's what I'm talking about ... Pop up, out, over screens. This is a direction we could all benefit from. Having the design area large as we want with everything else out of the way until needed. The tools should stay visible with just the panel items hidden. Lots to think about here. Will be getting this example refined. Thanks for the demonstration Alex.by cos - General Discussion
Hey, I'm not excluding the mobile device user at all. I've been the one to lead the fight to get rtd workable for mobile devices as I have studied internet user trends on our site. I've had several firm arguments with Alex to add support for iOS devices and as a result, a fix for iOS is standard in the designer. With that necessary fix applied, you are totally free to make everything as fluid asby cos - General Discussion
@customsigncenter - Understood. I can't see rtd being useful if optimized for displaying on mobile (ie small screen sizes, not most tablets) devices. It's just too complicated except for the most rudimentary uses such as changing a word on a template. Apple.com doesn't use a separate domain and does not redirect for mobile (as far as I have been able to determine). Microsoft.com does. I like respby cos - General Discussion
Personally, for now at least, I'm not so keen on responsive design for rtd designer. Not to take away from your suggestion in any manner customsigncenter. I fully appreciate the desire for responsive design. Having considered this quite a bit in the last year, I'm not fully convinced of the need for the designer. Even Apple's site isn't responsive. The free shipping on one product "special". That is what I think most of us want. In this current conversation, are the operators discussed here at the product level or the total order price level? The current solution, FLAT PRICE OVERRIDES, is for the total order price. If at the product pricing level, matching Operators to numbers after the decimal place (i.e. cents) would be greatby cos - General Discussion
FANTASTIC. Don't have a million products, but I like this much better. A very helpful use for this feature . . . One needs to change something on many related products (without using mass tools), but the products are all over the place. This puts all related products in one find. Thank you.by cos - Announcements from the RealTimeDesigner Team

Hey, this looks to be a very useful tool. Thank you. I can see the library of masks growing. How do we submit additional masks? Would it be possible to have a revert to original option?by cos - Announcements from the RealTimeDesigner Team
Wipe that grin off your face. HUGE difference. Loads faster for sure, but it's very early here and I'm probably the only person within 5 thousand miles using the internet. Subsequent loads are INSTANT. Previously, subsequent loads were as slow as the first load. This is a fantastic improvement. Thank you.by cos - General Discussion
Two of the popular font management applications out there are Suitcase Fusion and Fontagent Pro. When viewing the lists of available fonts, these two apps have the ability to show the font list in wysiwyg view. I’ve noticed a huge difference in how each app handles this feature. Exensis Suitcase draws the fonts on the fly as the font names load which causes a delay in displaying the list asby cos - General Discussion
A nice feature to add into "RENAME/ADD/CLONE/IMPORT/EXPORT STYLES" would be the ability to clone icons and images into other styles without affecting any other style items. When redesigning a site, most of the rtd styles and options will probably remain the same. The thing that would probably change the most would be icons and images. Would be a great time saver and assure consistency.by cos - General Discussion
Used the psgraphics solution on a fresh order file today. Had several clipart's with important masking elements which deleted. Everything else worked fine. Keep this in mind when you do this.by cos - General Discussion
Now I have to scramble around to find a file to test this with. That's great. thanks psgraphics. and, nice shot of you at the show Alex. I knew you were a viking!by cos - General Discussion
This is great. Very useful indeed. Thanks.by cos - Announcements from the RealTimeDesigner Team
Fantastical. What a help that is. API to the rescue! Glad you thought of that.by cos - General Discussion
One other thing that would help tremendously. The fotolia clipart library that shows the used clips needs to have file names showing. There is no way to know which file one needs to download.by cos - General Discussion
Could you restrain those thumbs to about 200 px or so?by cos - General Discussion
Thanks Alex. That will be helpful also. We can be thinking of some way to possibly identify the others.by cos - General Discussion
In Manage Orders for the direct download of used images there needs to be some kind of visual to identify files. I would like to see a rollover hover thumbnail of the file. Sometimes we only need one of those files to work with (perhaps only one image in many needs a little tweaking) and it can be impossible to determine which file to download. This is especially needed when there are premium (foby cos - General Discussion
Just tested 5 hires pdf files from this week opening in illustrator. No issues. Two were from our templates and three from customer builds. In fact, they all opened without the usual containing masks described earlier in this post. They all opened like we usually see in Flexisign. Strange world we live in.by cos - General Discussion
The clipart dropdown is indeed nice. Sorry, I'm having problems configuring this. We are using categories but cannot get them shown as subgroups. Could someone at rtd expound on this process a bit more?by cos - General Discussion
For Macs this is different (at least in the latest version 10.8.4). I'm glad you brought this subject to mind as this is a long time issue in a different way. Coding in the above mentioned trick does nothing on Macs in Safari, Firefox or Google Chrome. In Safari: When an rtd text block is selected pressing delete key (there is no backspace key on Macs) deletes one character at a time withoutby cos - Howto and Tutorials
QuoteAlex Creating a page that will send even 4 or 5 emails to different accounts, each using a different email template is something that can already be done. Could you elaborate on this a bit more? Are you referring to using the api to create this page?by cos - General Discussion
About the app - Couldn't this be done simply by making a responsive web page for the Manage Orders? Get the notification email on your phone . . . works great. Depending on how you have the email formatted, you can have it fit whatever suits you. This is one of the reasons I would like to have multiple email notification options for Company Email formatted for different scenarios. Of couby cos - General Discussion
Here's my quick one paragraph review of this feature: Fotolia addition is very useful. Still some rough edges in the implementation, but having all those images available is a real plus. The pricing is very attractive. The main caveat is that you will have to manually replace the watermarked image with the high res image downloaded on the Manage Orders page. Another is that all images are notby cos - Announcements from the RealTimeDesigner Team
This does in fact happen in Illustrator. The masks can be quite overwhelming at times. Our company uses SAInternational Flexisign Pro, FlexiDesigner and FlexiLetter to handle a lot of artwork tasks, simply because it is well suited to very fast production for the type of work we do. We do use Illustrator for a lot of custom design work, but production type stuff is through Flexisign. I believe I'by cos - General Discussion
