Move Floating Popup

How do I change the placement of the Floating Popup (fonts, colors, etc...) so the user doesn't have to drag it to the left every time. It opens in the center of the screen, which covers the design area. If the customer added text, the popup to change the font covers up the text.

There is a style option for that.
In SYSTEM OPTIONS => Styles Setup => [your style] => OTHER STYLE OPTIONS, at the bery bottom, there's the initial placement of item properties (colors, fonts, align, etc) (center/itemalign) property.
The behavior you describe now is how it acts with center.
If you will change it to itemalign it will show the popup vertically related to the item area you invoked the popup for.
