Product Options Question

Is it possible to add a product option that will show up as an item in the cart when selected. For example: A customer adds a product to his/her cart. One of the product options is "Buy One, Get One", but when the customer selects the option, the total items in cart remains 1. It doesn't reflect the additional product. Is there some setting for this?

Looking at your example: If you're talking about something that will still price the item as qty=1 but shows 2 instead, then no, there's nothing to do something like that.
