cursor changing position after live update when editing multiline text

Let's say you have a 3 line, mulitiline text element. I notice that if you place your cursor in line one and edit it, then pause to watch the update initiate on the canvas, that the cursor then moves to the end of the final line rather than remaining where you had left it originally.

This will lead to customers making text edits and then getting confused/frustrated when they pause to watch the update, then continue editing only to realize that the cursor position has moved to the end of the last line.

Any options?
