Exclude background color in hires generation
July 01, 2015 12:52PM
I can't see where we've discussed this previously and can't find a resolution. Because of certain software limitations, bugs, glitches or whatever, we want to generate hires without the background color. We want clear. We don't want white in these instances. A hires vector or png always makes for a white background if no color is specified. Unless of course there is a "no background color" setting. Cannot see a way to make a clear (no) background. Is that possible in Define Colors? If not, is it possible to add a button in the generation area to skip the background color?

In the designer, the BGcolor cannot be transparent because it represent the surface you're going to print on (and you never print on "nothing"). So, there must always be a color there.

But for the option, no problem. It's done and there already smiling smiley
It's new new one named Exclude BG Color (Only for Vector and PNG output)?.
As written there, of course it will not work with JGP outputs, as JPG has no transparency abilities.
I've also managed this new option to still be able to handle the Include Crop Outline function.

Well, now your turn: time to test!

P.S.: Happy 4th of July!
