Artwort and Templates discussion

since day one we knew good artwork was important to rtd users. its time to hear from our users about their needs and desires. our public domain clipart obviously doesn't cover every need. also good template creation can take considersble time. so here's what we want to hear from you...

we have located some artists that will sell higher qualty illustration images for a few dollars for each image to each print shop that wants to use them. Are you willing to buy such images in lots of a 50 or so. Separately, these images cost 10times more for commercial use. these images when bought can be reused by you as many times as you wish. fotolia api images aremeant to be bought each time you use one. are you interested in buying commercial art at prices significantly less than their normal retail price?

we could hire our own team of artists and own the artworkwithin the rtd? would you use such a service and be willing to pay additional monthly fees for it?

templates... we are working on this special project where we made 200 softball specific design templates. do you see a value in having a hundred or so template categories with few hundred templates for any given topic? that would be thousands and thousands of templates. these would be cosumer designs.. our current 1500 templates are geared for small business sign... would this benefit you to the point of supporting the artist for his efforts?

Hi Mark. Thanks for sharing this idea. I would think most companies would want access within rtd to higher quality art and the needs would vary greatly from one company to another, depending on what was offered, I think we would be willing to purchase in lots of 50 or more but unsure how often. Building the library of images of any kind where rtd owns the images is a must. This helps you stand out in the ever crowded field. Better and more templates is always a good thing. As for supporting the artists for the efforts . . . depends on what you have in mind. We like the fotolia model of the customers paying for what they use. But, having thousands of comparable high quality rtd images without the need to replace watermarked images is attractive.
