Product Int. ID number

I have noticed when creating a new product, a Int. ID number is assigned to it. I assume this is an unique ID number for each product. If so, is there any way to search the product data base by using this Int. ID number?

Not from the RTD admin panel.
Things like the IDs are useful mostly with API based application
