This news if for anyone using the catalog.
To allow a faster navigation for your customers, we've added a couple things, at product level.
The new options can be found in:
PRODUCT OPTIONS => Manage/Define Products => Your Product Category
From there, click the
EDIT button of the product you're interested in.
First new thing is we added more entries in the
Catalog launch options area.
I guess the entries names are pretty much self-explanatory, but it's all about allowing you to narrow better what to allow for your visitors.
The second new thing is the
Optional Description Extra code (for catalog) field.
It's just another block where you ca place HTML code, but has some specific features.
1st, it will be shown EXCLUSIVELY on catalog, where Optional Description is normally shown. This normally means the 2nd click in the catalog, when a category is selected and products are listed.
2nd, it has some very specific specialcodes you can use. See the help button in admin panel to find details.
The main purpose of those codes is to allow customer to immediately jump to designer, templates, etc... straight from the page where the code is shown. There are various scenario in which you may want to allow your customers a quick way straight to designer, for example.
This tool is also a sort of experiment, in time we can finetune it even better.
But to understand if and how useful it could be, we needed to make it live first!
