Alex was busy again this weekend adding some neat new functions for RTD-Catalog. We are getting lots of requests to make RTD a full SIGN STORE - much more than just a design online tool. So here's whats new....
PRODUCT SUB CATEGORIES
For those of you needing more flexibility in the RTD Catalog for a deeper level of classification, you can now define several levels of sub categories for your products. You can see this feature in the "Manage/Define Products Categories" screen. Several levels of sub-categories will allow you to classify 1000's of products, without giving users too many choices on one screen.
SHOW ORDER FOR SIZES
You can now assign show order values to fixed sizes in the "CONFIGURE SIZES-FIXED SIZES" - Previously the order was fixed to be numerical. This created problems like "8" appearing after "10".
STATIC PRODUCTS
The RTD-Catalog has been modified to allow you to include products which don't require custom design. This could be stock designs (STOCK BANNERS) as well as blank products (BLANK COROPLAST & BANNERS). To allow users to add un-designed products to their cart, from the MANAGE/DEFINE PRODUCTS select "Enable Direct to Cart Only". We are currently negotiating with several sign product suppliers to include their product lines as standard products within RTD. Doing this, we can set up one manufacturers products once and give all our users access to their entire product line for resale. Some of the products include screen printed real estate rider signs and other types of sign kits not usually made by local sign shops. If you have products that you resell, please let us know so we can consider them.
DOWN LOADABLE TEMPLATE FILES
We have added a file upload area in CONFIGURE SIZES->FIXED SIZES->VIEW EXTRA OPTIONS. As of now, you will have access to this file when you view an order for a product with an uploaded file. We are currently developing several product lines including OSHA signs, Stock Banners, etc which will utilize this feature. We'd also like to add the ability to give your clients access to the templates so that they can format their artwork to your templates. Stay Tuned.
