Whew - it has been nearly 4 weeks since our last update. Lots of new stuff - some you will see, other stuff working in the background that you won't see, but your users will appreciate.
Most of the update involves the user interface. Major things have changed:
a) Background Color / Background Image selector is now below the designer image, along with add to cart and view cart buttons. (if you have a product available in many colors and want to show pictures of it, use the Multiple Background Image feature in FIXED SIZES.
b) Navigation within the cart has changed to make it easier for customer to order more than one product. After adding the item to the cart they are given the choice to create a new design from scratch, a system template or re-using their own design.
c) Nearly all Pop-ups (fonts, colors, etc) have been eliminated - we're now using browser friendly iframes.
d) The Internet Explorer 6 issue has been installed - images will not be as crisp using IE6, but it does work for those who haven't upgraded their browsers.
e) "Show Grid" and "Maximize & Center Clipart" have been added in the "GENERAL SETTINGS" of Product -> Configure Generator
f) You can now allow linear and arch distortions independently of one another.
g) In preparation for future licensed cliparts, links to the clipart source will appear at the bottom of each clipart page.
h) You can now turn template searches ON/OFF in the COMPANY SETUP screen.
i) If you have affiliates or resellers, you can now turn pricing for their sites on/off independently.
THINGS WE'RE WORKING ON:
a) Sizing for shirts and similar products. Currently there is no way for you to charge an extra fee for 6 2XL shirts which are part of an order of 3 dozen.
b) Virtual Samples - this is where the customer can upload or make a design then see the design projected onto your product within a sales sheet or catalog page.
c) New Clipart Library. We expect to start uploading new Public Domain cliparts on Monday, February 18th.
We tried to test all the new features fully, but undoubtedly someone will find something that isn't working. If so, please email us as complete description as you can.
